So…In no particular order…
I am a late-comer to the art world and I am still exploring all types of artistic expression. I find I am drawn to printmaking and enjoy the possibilities and often unexpected outcomes this allows. The variety and combination of techniques gives me the freedom to experiment and allows me to follow where inspiration leads

I draw inspiration from living in London and also from extensive travel to many cities around the world. I am intrigued by the way cities create their own special light, movement and colour and strive to recreate that through my painting.
I use a number of different techniques including the application of numerous layers of individual colours which are then reducted and where appropriate moved around to produce the eventual completed image. I use mainly acrylic paint in order to work quickly and effectively to convey the ideas that are formed in my mind during the course of applying the varied layers and shapes.
Through my painting I strive to convey a strong sense of light, colour and movement. I usually make my own canvases and enjoy the process of working through a complete idea at all stages.

Living in North Wales, I have returned to painting in retirement. I am inspired by the surrounding beautiful countryside,
holiday destinations and often that “must paint” photograph!
I mainly work in Acrylics and love using palette knives.
I enjoy experimenting with new techniques.
I am a member of my local Holywell Art Group and have exhibited and sold work in North Wales.
There is a lighter side too, with Children’s canvases – Hand Painted by JDW
